Established in 2008, CSCT Campus has been a beacon of quality education, dedicated to nurturing students’ growth and potential. Through esteemed partnerships with recognized qualification-offering bodies and prestigious universities, we uphold higher standards of education, ensuring an exceptional learning experience for our students. From certificate to master’s level programmes, CSCT Campus offers a comprehensive range of courses across diverse industries. Our curriculum is designed to cater to varied educational pursuits, empowering students to excel in their chosen fields at every stage of their academic journey.

Our Mission

“To provide the education seeker with high quality education that focuses on the end result in particular the ability to approach any type of employment opportunity with competence and confidence thereby contributing to the human capital of the economy”. We offer accredited Edexcel (Pearson) courses at BTEC Higher National Diploma level covering Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, Building Services Engineering and Civil Engineering. In addition we recently partnered with the University of Salford, an RICS partner university to offer a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Quantity Surveying. This 3 year (plus 1 year optional placement) programme is entirely delivered in Sri Lanka. We also facilitate the delivery of a Master of Science in Quantity Surveying delivered using a blended teaching modality through a flying faculty from the University of Salford. CSCT has also partnered with Salford University, UK to deliver a Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management. This program is the latest addition to the programs on offer at CSCT.

Our Motto

“CSCT was established in 2008, with the motto ‘Sapientia et Doctrina’, which is Latin for Wisdom & Learning. We strive to create a learning environment to nurture the development of critical thinking skills; support innovation; and develop the knowledge and expertise of our students.” CSCT faculty members are the most senior teachers in the field of construction and foremost practitioners in the country. They have expertise in a broad range of specialties and have developed curriculums in each of the programs that meet the needs of the construction industry, ensuring that our graduates and diploma holders are ready for professional work.

Ben Guneratne

Ben Guneratne has a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Macquarie University, Sydney Australia and has completed a Masters in Quantity Surveying (RICS) at the University of Salford, United Kingdom. Ben is engaged in the day to day operation of the school and ensures that it is run in a financial efficient manner. Ben has more than 15 years experience working in the private sector in various managerial roles.

Susil Wedikkara

Susil Weddikkara is a Chartered Architect and Planner by profession with extensive experience in academic teaching in Australia, USA and Sri Lanka. Mr Weddikkara has over 30 years of experience in professional practice and holds a Masters Degree in Town Planning from (-YEAR-). He is the Head of School for the Colombo School of Construction Technology.

Dean of School

Prof Chitra Weddikkara

Prof Chitra Weddikkara is the former Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Moratuwa, and former Head of the Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa. She is also the Immediate Past President of the Institute of Quantity Surveying Sri Lanka, President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects and the Chairperson of the RICS Chapter in Sri Lanka. She holds the Chair of Professor of Quantity Surveying, University of Moratuwa and is the Dean/Academic Director of the Colombo School of Construction Technology. She is a Charted Quantity Surveyor and holds a PhD in (-YEAR-) from (-YEAR-). She is well connected to the Sri Lankan construction industry and has over 30 years experience working in the Built Environment Industry.

Maneka Guneratne

Maneka Guneratne has a MSc in Project Management in Construction from the University of Salford UK, a Masters in International Studies from the University of Sydney and a Masters in International Social Development from the University of New South Wales. She has experience working for several international organisations including the United Nations Development Program and Legal Aid Commission New South Wales. She has extensive experience in program delivery and knowledgeable of the university system. She is the program/administration director for the Colombo School of Construction Technology and the focal point for the University of Salford Partnership. She also teaches in the BSc (hons) in Quantity Surveying in the modules of Professional project 1 & 2 and teaches Communication to HND students.
