Prof. Chitra Weddikkara

Prof. Chitra Weddikkara is the former Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, University of Moratuwa, and former Head of the Department of Building Economics, the Immediate Past President of the Institute of Quantity Surveying Sri Lanka, President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects and the Chairperson of the RICS Chapter in Sri Lanka. She holds the Chair of Professor of Quantity Surveying, University of Moratuwa and is the Dean/ Academic Director of the Colombo School of Construction Technology. She is a Charted Quantity Surveyor and holds a PhD. She is well connected to the Sri Lankan construction industry and has over 30 years’ experience working in the Built Environment Industry. She teaches Discipline project 1 & 2 for the BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying at CSCT.

Maneka Guneratne

Maneka Guneratne has a Masters in International Studies from the University of Sydney and Masters in International Social Development from the University of New South Wales. She has experience working for several international organisations including the United Nations Development Program and Legal Aid Commission New South Wales. She has extensive experience in program delivery and knowledgeable of the university system. She is the program/administration director for the Colombo School of Construction Technology and the focal point for the University of Salford Partnership. She also teaches in the BSc (hons) in Quantity Surveying in the modules of Professional project 1 & 2 and teaches Communication to HND students.

Arch. Chinthaka Nikapitiya

Arch. Chinthaka Nikapitiya has a Bachelor’s degree (BSc)(BE) and Master’s Degree in Architecture from University of Moratuwa and has an International Diploma in Computer Science (NCC, UK). Mr. Nikapitiya is an Architect by profession. He is specialized in multi-storey building design and planning, underground structures and facility design, master planning to name a few. He has over three years experience as a lecturer and has lectured at Colombo School of Architecture, Kothalawala Defense Academy and University of Moratuwa and has over fifteen years’ experience in the industry.

Arch. Sameera Jayasooriya

Arch. Sameera Jayasooriya has a MSc. in Architecture and RIBA Part III and A.I.A. (SL) from Sri Lanka Institute of Architects and has also acquired a degree in B.Sc. Built Environment With First Class Honors from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka respectively. He is currently working as a Chartered Architect (Principal) in ARCHIDEA STUDIOS (PVT) LTD Sri Lanka. He has over 10 years working experience in the Construction Industry and has been lecturing since 2008 in leading higher educational institutes in Sri Lanka. He lectures Technology 2 (BSc) at Colombo School of Construction Technology as a visiting lecturer.

A.L. Pathirane

A.L. Pathirane has a Master’s Degree in Project Management (MSc) from University of Moratuwa, Bachelor of (Engineering) in Civil Engineering from University of Ruhuna, Galle. He has extensive experience in academic arena as a lecturer for modules such as Project Planning, Project Management, Construction Engineering & Management, Construction Technology, Procurement, Management of Civil Engineering Projects, Construction Economics and Organizational Behavior & Management for Undergraduates and Construction Engineering & Management, Project Management for Post Graduates. He lectures in Science & Materials (HND) and Pipe Distribution Services (HND) at Colombo School of Construction Technology.

Buddhini C. Dharmawardhana

Buddhini C. Dharmawardhana has a degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of Colombo. Buddhini by profession is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court & practicing as a Lawyer and a life member of Bar Association, Sri Lanka. She has an extensive experience in lecturing and she lectures Human Rights Law at the University of Moratuwa as a visiting lecturer since 2011, and Introduction to Law and Regulatory Framework (BSc), at the Colombo School of Construction Technology.

Darshani Amarabandu

Darshani Amarabandu is the senior academic support officer and internal verifier at Colombo School of Construction Technology .She is a full time lecturer at Colombo School of Construction Technology and lectures in modules such as Measurement A (HND), Health and Safety (HND) and Specification (HND) since 2010 as a permanent lecturer. She is reading for MSc in Quantity Surveying (RICS Accredited) from University of Salford, UK, and possesses a Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics, National Certificate of Technology (Quantity Surveying) and National Certificate of Draftsmen Apprentices. She has over 28 years experience in the Industry.

Dilruk Indika Fernando

Dilruk Indika Fernando holds a MSc in Structural Engineering and B.Sc in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He has over 12 years experience as a lecturer and presently works as a Senior Lecturer in Structural division of Civil engineering department at Open University Sri Lanka. He also lectures Structural Analysis and Designing (HND) and Civil Engineering (HND) at Colombo School of Construction Technology.

Dr. Nirdoha Fernando

Dr Nirdoha Fernando has obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Salford, UK and has a Honors degree in Quantity Surveying (B.Sc) from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. She has considerable amount of teaching experience with experience as a university lecturer; researcher and a Quantity Surveyor. She has extensive experience working in multidisciplinary, stakeholder-led research projects and an excellent track record of academic publications. She has been working as a full time senior lecturer at University of Moratuwa since 2012 and she has over ten years’ experience in academia.

Gayani Konara

Gayani Konara is a Quantity Surveyor by profession. She has an Honors degree in Quantity Surveying from University of Moratuwa, Certificate Diploma and Professional Graduate Diploma of the British Computer Society from UK British Computer Society (BCS, Professional Examination). She has more than nine years experience in lecturing and she is a lecturer and examiner in Information Technology and Professional Communications of the undergraduate courses in BSc Honours in Quantity Surveying, conducted by Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

Hemantha Bandara

Hemantha Bandara is an Engineer by profession. He holds an Honors degree in Civil Engineering and Masters of Business Administration from University of Moratuwa. He has considerable amount of work experience in the industry of the Built Environment working as Project Engineer, Project Analyst and Relationship Manager in various organizations. Currently he works as a Project Management Consultant/ Project Planner for Qserve (Pvt) LTD.

Isuru Withanage

Isuru Withanage has a Masters in Engineering Project and System Management and an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering Design (BEng) (Hons) from Kingston University, UK. He currently works as a Product Manager at a renowned scientific solution providing company and has three years of managerial experiences in a multinational restaurant chain based in the United Kingdom and has over 8 years work experience in the industry. He lectures in Applied Mathematics (HND) and Analytical Methods at Colombo School of Construction Technology.

Jeevanthe S.S. Wijesundare

Jeevanthe S.S. Wijesundare is a lecturer by profession. He holds an honors degree in Computer Science (B.Sc) from University of Delhi, India, and an Advance Diploma in software engineering from Informatics Institute of Technology. He has over four years experience in lecturing and currently works as a lecturer at Colombo School of Technology. Jewanthe has been employed as a freelance software engineer and a Web designer in various organizations. He lectures IT- General (HND) at Colombo School of Construction Technology.

Mahesh Abeynayake

Mahesh Abeynayake has an honors degree in Law (LL.B) (Hons) and Master of Law (LL.M) from the University of Colombo. Mahesh by profession is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court & practicing as a Lawyer, Notary Public and Company Secretary. He has extensive experience in lecturing and at present he lecture’s at the University of Moratuwa as a permanent lecturer in Construction Law. He also lecture in Dispute Resolution at Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Sri Lanka (IQSSL) & Law & Contract (HND), Introduction to Law and Regulatory Framework (BSc), at the Colombo School of Construction Technology.

Nilanthi Dharmadasa

Nilanthi Dharmadasa has a degree in Attorney of Law from Sri Lanka Law College. She has over 15 years of experience in law field and currently employed as at the Head of the Legal- Housing Loan Department of National Development Bank PLC since 2006. She lectures in Law and Contract (HND) at Colombo School of Construction Technology.

Priyantha Bernard

Priyantha Bernard is a Mechanical Engineer by profession. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Sc) from University of Peradeniya and reading for the degree of Masters in Business Administration of Management & Technology from University of Moratuwa. He is currently working as the Head of Services in Nations Development Bank PLC. He has worked as Project Engineer and Estimation Engineer in several leading organizations in Sri Lanka and Doha Qatar. He has worked as an Instructor at Faculty of Engineering -University of Ruhuna (Hapugala-Galle). He has more than 12 years’ experience as an Engineer.

Rashmika Fernando

Rashmika Fernando is an Architect by profession. He has a Bachelor’s honors Degree of Architecture (B.Sc) and Master’s Degree in Project Management (MSc) from University of Moratuwa. He has been employed as Project Coordinator in various projects in Sri Lanka and has a wide range of knowledge and has over eight years work experience in the field of Construction. He has been working at University of Moratuwa since 2010 as a lecturer and currently lectures Design and Principles (HND) at the Colombo School of Construction and Technology.

S.R.M.S. Ravihansa Chandratilake

S.R.M.S. Ravihansa Chandratilake is an Architect by profession. He has a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) (B.E) and Master’s Degree (MSc) in Architecture MSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa. He has more than seven years of experience in lecturing. He is a senior lecturer at the Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa, a visiting lecturer of the department of Civil Engineering at University of Moratuwa and a visiting lecturer at Colombo School of Construction Technology on modules such as Building Services Engineering (HND), Environmental Science & Services (BSc QS.)

Shammi F. Hannan

Shammi F. Hannan has a Masters Degree in Project Management, from the University of Southern Queensland, Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics, UK, and Diploma in Builders Quantities, Sri Lanka. Shammi has over 25 years’ experience in performing key roles such as Chief Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor in both local and international companies. He lectures in Management Principles and Applications (HND) at Colombo School of Construction Technology.

Susil Weddikkara

Susil Weddikkara is a Chartered Architect and Planner by profession with extensive experience in academic teaching in Australia; USA and Sri Lanka. Mr Weddikkara has over 30 years of experience in professional practice and holds a Master’s Degree in Town Planning. He is the Head of School for the Colombo School of Construction Technology and also lectures in the BSc in Quantity Surveying for Modules such as Professional Project 1 & 2.
